A and J Kennel Limited Purchase Agreement

Prior to enactment of our Guarantee, all of the following must be satisfied:

A licensed veterinarian must examine all puppies within (24) twenty-four hours of purchase. If the puppy is shipped by air, a licensed veterinarian must examine the puppy within 24 hours of arrival at the destination airport. If the puppy is purchased on a holiday or on the weekend, then the puppy must be taken to a licensed veterinarian on the following working day for examination. If your regular veterinarian is not available, you are required to take the puppy to another veterinarian. A veterinarian’s health report on examination must be supplied to the breeder for this guarantee to be honored and will be void unless these terms are met.

The breeder will have the puppy veterinarian checked before shipping, and the veterinarian will issue a health certificate, stating that the puppy has been inspected and found free from visible signs of infection, contagious, or communicable disease.

Please do not take the puppy into public places, unless absolutely necessary, until the puppy has had all its vaccinations (as recommended by your veterinarian) to insure immunity against disease.

The puppy is guaranteed (to be replaced by the breeder when a like animal is available) for (2) two years (from date of purchase) against birth defects. Two (2) statements of any covered birth defect are required from different veterinarians and must be sent to the breeder for viewing and verification by the breeder and the breeder’s veterinarian. If the puppy develops a birth defect within the two-year limited guarantee, and is returned to the breeder, all return shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser, and the breeder will pay shipping charges on the replaced puppy. The breeder has the option to give a refund (of the puppy price only) instead of replacing the puppy. In this case, the puppy would not need to be returned to the breeder.

Exclusions:

Minor defects that are of little consequence for the puppy’s health are not covered.

Such as: a minor under bite, over bite, hernia, etc. (Obvious hernias, if any, will be repaired before shipping if deemed necessary by the breeder’s veterinarian). Puppies may be show quality, but are not guaranteed to be show quality. Temperament is not guaranteed.

All veterinarian charges, incurred by the purchaser, are the sole responsibility of the purchaser and will under no circumstances be paid by the breeder, including all spay and neuter charges.

Take great care to protect your puppy from getting lost, stolen, or from danger or abuse. There is no guarantee against negligence.
